QuranAI ("we," "our," "us") provides an AI-powered Islamic learning app available on the App Store. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and the choices you have.
When you type or speak a question to the QuranAI chatbot, the text of your question is sent to our backend service to generate an answer with Quranic references. We do not require an account, name, or email to use this feature, so questions are not tied to a personal profile on our servers.
If you enable location access, we use your device's GPS coordinates only to calculate accurate prayer times and Qibla (compass) direction for your location. Location data is processed on your device and is never stored on our servers or shared with third parties.
Voice questions and pronunciation practice use Apple's on-device Speech framework to convert speech to text. Audio is processed on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
Flashcard progress, study streaks, XP, achievements, and app settings are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to us.
Premium subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple's StoreKit. We never see or store your payment card details — Apple handles billing directly.
QuranAI shows ads (served by Google AdMob) to free users to keep the app free for everyone. Premium subscribers do not see ads. To serve and measure ads, Google AdMob and its partners may collect:
On iOS, we ask for your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt before any identifier-based tracking occurs. If you're in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we also show a consent form (via Google's User Messaging Platform) before serving personalized ads, in line with GDPR and UK requirements. You can change your ad consent choice at any time in the app under Profile → Ad Privacy Options (shown when applicable to your region).
